In short, Brazilian Zouk is a very versatile partner dance, originating from Brazil, stemming from the famous Lambada of the 90s!
Originally influenced by Caribbean Zouk rhythms (hence the fusion of the name), it is gaining more and more popularity and is now danced to a variety of musical styles.
It is characterized by the proximity of the partners, the sensuality and fluidity of its movements, especially of the upper body. It is also recognized by its off-axis figures and its exhilarating dynamic changes.
Some music allows more connection and let-go, others more isolation and groove...!
