We cultivate each student's potential through the art of partner dance, deep movement understanding, versatility, and the development of genuine connection between partners.
Brazilian Zouk is a versatile partner dance originating from Brazil, born from the famous Lambada of the 1990s.
Originally influenced by Caribbean Zouk rhythms, it has gained worldwide popularity and is now danced to a wide diversity of musical styles. It is characterized by close partner connection, sensuality, and fluid movements — particularly of the upper body.
You'll recognize it by its off-axis figures, exhilarating dynamic changes, and the way different music invites different expressions. Some songs invite deep connection and surrender, while others bring isolation and groove. That's the beauty of Zouk.

The first time I saw Brazilian Zouk, in 2010, it left me confused. To me, Zouk was a Caribbean rhythm and dance, and what I was watching looked like something else entirely. I thought the girl was drunk(!). Once I understood it was Lambada from Brazil, danced to Caribbean zouk music to keep it alive, I got curious. I've always been a big fan of Lambada music without knowing much about it...!
