Abraço Dance MTL / Founder & Instructor
Introduced to the arts and culture from an early age, Mélodie Gabrielle developed a passion for dance and world music at a very young age. From classical ballet at age 5 to teaching younger children at age 19, her journey naturally led her to Ballroom and Latin dances.
In 2010, she became captivated by Brazilian Zouk thanks to Jules Bertrand, with whom she collaborated until 2015. Together, they launched their first congress in 2013 and pursued a career rich in collaborations (Carlos da Silva, Jefferson Dadinho, K-Yo, among others), performances, and international travel (Brazil, Prague, New York, Los Angeles, and more).
From 2017 to 2022, Mélodie co-founded Dança Montréal, a school that energized the local Montreal scene. This experience honed her skills as a versatile teacher, artistic director, and organizer of events of all sizes.
Today, Mélodie continues her entrepreneurial journey in her own studio. Her unique approach, informed by her classical training and expertise in design and advertising, is characterized by a lyrical style and creative pedagogy. Recognized by both her students and peers, she offers a comprehensive dance experience that combines technique, artistic expression, and personal development.
