A long-time community builder

Christian Castillo discovered Brazilian zouk in 2016 after four years of dancing salsa and bachata, falling in love with its fluid connection and creativity. He began his teaching journey assisting classes at Dança Montréal, and since 2025 he has been teaching alongside Mélodie Gabrielle at Abraço Dance MTL.

Drawn especially to zouk's lyrical side, Christian is known for his warm, patient teaching style and attention to detail, helping students build a strong foundation while keeping classes fun and engaging. When he's not teaching, you'll find him on the social dance floor, always refining his skills. Having been welcomed so warmly into the zouk scene himself, he sees teaching as his way of giving back what he received.
