Nina & Matheus

Nina Darbello & Matheus Franco are among the most in-demand Brazilian Zouk and Lambada artists in the world today. Based in Campinas, Brazil, and dancing together officially since 2018, they have taught and performed in more than 30 countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania. Their roots in classical and contemporary ballet, jazz, hip-hop and musical theatre give their dancing a rare blend of technical precision, musicality and expressiveness. They are All-Star competitors and official judges of the BZDC Jack & Jill circuit, the largest competition in Brazilian Zouk, with recent first-place titles at the International Zouk Congress, Taiwan Zouk Festival, Miami Beach Zouk Festival and Brazilian Dance Festival.

Beyond the stage, Nina and Matheus are passionate educators and community builders. Since 2015 they have directed Barracão da Dança, a leading Zouk school in Campinas with over 320 students, and co-founded Projeto Superação, which offers adapted dance classes for people with disabilities. Matheus also DJs at major Zouk and Lambada congresses worldwide, while Nina leads Nina’s Team, an international online training program. Whatever the level, their classes are known for being warm, dynamic and deeply rooted in Brazilian culture, and for leaving every dancer inspired.
